5h 20 Km 91 m Challenging

Description

This memory trail takes you on a cycling or walking tour of the route of the 1922 "Tourism" speed race "Grand prix ACF". Through 6 stages, this circuit reveals the many facets of the race's initial route through the villages of Duppigheim, Entzheim, Blaesheim, Innenheim and Duttlenheim. Henri Rougier was the winner of this event.

Another event: the Grand Prix Automobile de France 1922 was a speed Grand Prix held on July 15, 1922, starting from Duppigheim. Two Bugatti cars driven by Pierre de Vizcaya and Pierre Marco took 2nd and 3rd places. The winner, Felice Nazzaro of the Fiat team, saw his nephew, Biaggio Nazzaro, killed before the end of the race. A stele commemorates this moment on the course.
