Going through the plains, this circuit will help you discover some of our villages. Half-timbered houses may be legion but they never look alike. For example, Duttlenheim's architecture is entirely different from the wine village of Ergersheim. Other buildings also stand out, such as the Roman and Baroque abbey of St. Cyriacus in Altorf, or the ancient Trappist convent that now houses the town hall in Ergersheim. What is really unforgettable, however, remains the village of Dachstein, with its fortified gate and ancient ramparts.
