The Domaine de la Chapelle is located 25 km west of Strasbourg on the Alsace wine route in the village of Dorlisheim.
Since the 18th century, viticulture and mixed farming have been the main activities of the Jost family, whose first wines were vinified around the same period. In 1930, when the business was still highly diversified, Thibault Jost won the first awards for his wines and passed on his passion and know-how to his son Victor, who marketed the estate's first bottles in the 1970s. He was later joined by his son and daughter-in-law, and more recently by his grandson.
The vineyard is located in the heart of the vineyard.
The vineyard is located on the south, southwest-facing hills above Dorlisheim on predominantly clay-limestone terroirs with, in particular, two lieux-dits: Husaren and Kalkgrube.
This family estate, whose 9 hectares are certified organic, produces the 7 Alsace grape varieties, terroir wines, exceptional cuvées and crémant. the estate is HVE certified in 2021. The 2022 vintage is certified organic. Individuals can attend a guided tour of the vineyard and a free tasting at the winery.
