Christmas between you and us!
Christmas in Alsace means Christmas with magic.
The towns and villages are dressed in lights. The spirit of Christmas is displayed everywhere in the streets and the houses are decorated here and there with branches of fir in the windows decorated with small subjects. Advent wreaths are placed on the doors of houses. The towns are alive with a whole new excitement and the fir tree is proudly enthroned and set up in the squares. It shines with a thousand lights.
Christmas is a multitude of little things, moments, attentions and sharing that animate us.
The children rejoice and prepare their letter to Father Christmas.
The scent of cinnamon, hot orange juice and mulled wine floats in the air…
Christmas sets our plates ablaze with its sweet and savoury flavours, our ears with its songs, our eyes light up. Christmas Eve is fast approaching. Just a few more days to wait.
