The Wurmberg is a safe haven for many species of plants and animals. Through fallow lands, meadows and orchards, the hiker will discover the distinctive landscape of the Vosges foothills.
The terraces, arranged at different levels of the hillside, shelter rare types of orchids, such as the Aster Amellus, the Gentianopsis Ciliata, or the Aquilegia. In the hedges, are hiding badgers, red-backed shrikes and sparrows.
The orchards, bearing ancient varieties of fruits, are the favorite refuge of wrynecks and insects.
