Events / To do tomorrow / To do this week / To do today / A thousand-year-old history of timber-framed houses
Until the 19th century, the main architectural treatises extolled the virtues of wood, placing it at the heart of architects' choices for its many qualities.
From the rudimentary construction of the first huts to the timber-framed houses of the Middle Ages, this tradition has continued to evolve.
In keeping with the Seigneurie's identity, the exhibition includes a number of models, as well as objects and works from the collections of several Alsatian museums.
